Jim Hamilton Coaching
A calm, light, single-page homepage built in Framer for an identity, purpose and transition coach, designed as a quiet and safe first step for people going through a major life change.
Client :
Mr. Jim Hamilton
Industry :
Identity, Purpose & Transition Coaching
Project Duration :
2 days
Year :
2026

Problem :
After I helped Mr. Jim with The Tactical Return, his coaching practice grew beyond that one program. He now offers one on one identity, purpose and transition coaching to a much wider audience, from people leaving the military or law enforcement to professionals whose careers ended, stopped fitting, or were taken.
He needed a separate home for this main business: jimhamiltoncoaching.com. The visitors are often going through a hard time, so the page had to feel quiet, warm and safe, never like a sales page. It also had to look clearly different from the dark Tactical Return site, while still feeling like it came from the same person.
Solution :
Mr. Jim sent a detailed build brief with exact colors, fonts, spacing and copy. I built the homepage in Framer to that spec, then went a step further.
Two Homepage Options: I delivered one version built exactly to the brief and a second, enhanced version with more visual depth. Mr. Jim chose the enhanced version, and it became the live homepage.
A Light, Distinct Brand: A bone and cream palette, Fraunces headings and Inter body text, with a thin gold line and small gold label opening each section. The only thing shared with The Tactical Return is the gold accent, so the two brands feel related but separate.
Ten Focused Sections: Hero, personal story, one on one coaching, how the work works, credentials, The Tactical Return, a final call to action, The Way Back newsletter and the footer, all leading toward one action: booking a free fit call.
Built to Grow: Color styles, text styles, buttons, the gold section label, and a nav and footer layout template are all reusable, so new pages can be added later without rebuilding anything.
Connected Tools: Calendly booking on every main button, The Way Back newsletter on Substack, and links out to Medium, LinkedIn and The Tactical Return.
How I Used Claude
Claude was my build partner on this project. I made the design decisions, and Claude helped me move through a long, precise brief quickly and accurately.
Brief to Build Plan: The build instructions were long and very specific. Claude helped me break them down into clear steps so nothing was missed.
Connected to the Framer Project: Through the Framer MCP, Claude could read the canvas and apply changes directly, from styles and components to section copy. I reviewed each change before moving on.
Copy Accuracy: The brief had strict word rules for credentials and wording. Claude helped me check the copy against those rules and compare each revised brief against what was already built.
Challenge :
The main challenge was precision. The brief set exact colors, sizes and spacing, and the copy had to be published word for word, including credential titles that could not be shortened or reworded. On top of that, the brief was revised while the build was underway, with new hero copy, a simplified coaching section, a new background texture and a restructured footer.
Keeping every detail accurate across those revisions, while still delivering a page that felt calm and human rather than rigid, was the most demanding part of the project.
Summary :
Jim Hamilton Coaching now has a calm, focused homepage that gives his main business its own identity. It speaks to anyone facing a change they did not plan for, guides them gently toward a free conversation, and is ready to grow into a full site.
Solving user problems through functional Framer web design.
Platform: Framer, built with the help of Claude
